What Direction Are Gaming Laptops Headed In

Everybody needs laptops it seems. How did we exist without them? It looks like the poor suppliers are also facing problems that could keep us all waiting. Laptops have just been an amazing industry to keep tabs on. There has been no slip in sales. Whatever you do you’re playing with technology that is developing all the time so its hard to keep up with the latest trends.

One of the increasing trends is gaming notebooks. If you’re a gamer with a limited budget the good thing is that you can get a gaming notebook a lot cheaper now because the average life is declining. In my opinion notebooks are fairly good for gaming. Processing power is far greater than it used to be. What impressed me the most is how sleek and attractive a few gaming notebooks are getting in contrast to earlier years. Still there is a great difference between the performance of laptops and desktop pcs however desktops are more roomy to cater for better cooling and such things that all help. The advancement of gaming notebooks implies that they will become sleeker and weightless in the years to come.

Now and then the average mass market notebooks just aren’t adequate for what we need them for so custom laptops will forever be around. I’m partial to the idea that high quality brands go into a couple of custom notebooks. I admire the idea that you can on occasions even specify what brands you require. Pre-configured notebook computers are made for consumers who have similar requirements and that is probably not you right? This is the purpose as to why custom notebooks exist. The service provided by custom resellers is also a little more personalised in my opinon. Yet an additional good reason.

Next generation notebooks do look like a tantalising option. Except from what has previously been spoken of Ultra mobile notebooks are a further massive sector witnessing expansion this year. Its strange how technology developed for the undeveloped nations have become hyped in the first world nations. I feel the market would prefer to see bigger laptops that weigh a lot less than the present units. I think you could say these notebooks are already attainable if you are ready to pay the price. The way things are evolving I know gaming notebooks will become portable. Laptops come out every 12 months and these low cost portables more than likely made a number of manufactures change their ideas.

Wrongful Death - Has It Happened To Your Loved One?

Each year, many people are faced with the loss of a loved one that somehow just doesn’t add up. Once you get through your grief and the facts begin to come together, you may think that someone made a mistake that cost you your loved one. If you feel that wrongful death may have happened to someone you know and love, then you have every right in the world to pursue it.

Knowing what to do is the key here. It is best not to go after anyone yourself, but to allow your attorney to do this. If you do not have one, contact several and ask for help. You will need to meet with them, tell them about your situation and why you think wrongful death happened. They can then help you to determine if in fact this is true. From this point, you can choose the attorney that fills your needs the best and depending on whether or not they believe you have a case, move forward.

More than likely, the attorney will handle most of the fact finding as well as the lawsuit for you. You are likely needed to provide the information that you know and to assist them at trial. More than that, you will not need to do in most cases. Because you are putting so much trust into this lawyer, you need to make sure that you trust him or her. You need to know that they will do the very best to find out what actually happened and to make sure that if it was wrongful death that someone is punished. More importantly, they will help to make sure that wrongful death does not happen again to someone else’s loved one. Wrongful death is wasted life.

What Causes the Seasons?

The seasons are caused by a change in the length of daylight hours. As the seasons progress, the days get shorter or longer and noon sun changes its altitude in the sky. In summer the sun is high above the horizon as it makes its way across the sky. As winter approaches, the noon sun is lower in the sky and sunsets occur earlier each evening.

The seasonal variation in the angle of the sun affects the amount of solar radiation the earth receives. When the sun is overhead, its rays pass through a thickness of one atmosphere. But when the rays enter at an angle of 30 degrees, they pass through a thickness of two atmospheres and at 5 degrees they pass through the equivalent of eleven atmospheres! The longer the path, the more change for scattering, absorption and reflection, which rob the sun’s rays for their intensity.

The annual changes in the sun’s angle and the length of the day are created by the earth’s angle of orientation toward the sun. The earth’s axis is not perpendicular to the plane of its orbit around the sun. It is tilted 23 degrees from the perpendicular. Remember your globes? They are tilted on an angle and that angle approximates the earth’s attitude toward the sun. The tilt is called the inclination of the axis, but that inclination wobbles a little. Right now the earth’s axis is pointed at the North Star, Polaris. In a few thousand years it will be pointed at Vega, which will be the new North Star. That’s because of that wobble and that wobble can affect the earth’s orientation toward the sun and, as a result, its climate.

On the day of the summer solstice (June Cool cycle fault), the north pole is inclined 23 degrees toward the sun. This is the beginning of summer in the northern hemisphere and the longest day of the year. In the southern hemisphere it’s just the opposite - the beginning of winter and the shortest day of the year. Six months later on the day of the winter solstice (in the northern hemisphere), the north pole is inclined 23 degrees away from the sun. This is the beginning of winter, the shortest day of the year, the day in which the people in the northern hemisphere receive the least light and energy from the sun. The summer and winter solstices occur on opposite days in the southern hemisphere.

The earth moves around the sun, but its orbit isn’t exactly circular. Rather than a perfect circle, sometimes its orbit is oblong. This is called eccentricity of orbit and changes the distance from the earth to the sun at different times of the year. Currently the earth is closest to the sun in January and furthest away in July.

However, we are in a period of low eccentricity - the earth’s orbit around the sun is rounder - so the difference in the distance to the sun between January and July is slight, merely 3 percent. That variance doesn’t have much effect on the amount of the sun’s energy the earth receives. But when the eccentricity of the orbit is high, the difference can be as much as 20 percent and can have a pronounced affect on the atmosphere.

Pressure Washing Companies and Co-Branding

Pressure washing companies often miss what we call ’super niche’ markets, those industries which very much need pressure washing services and are willing to pay top dollar for them. One such industry is the signage business. For a pressure washing company with no relatives or friends in that industry it is hard to break in and get work there, however if you con-brand with an existing company you may find yourself with more work than you can handle and able to bill at very high rates

Having been in the pressure washing industry some 25 plus years, we had always found that hooking up with a local sign company gave us instant credibility in the region and an expanded customer base of new clientele. Must of the new clientele once there cleaning signs had much more to wash also. For instance one time we went to clean a large sign for a sign company at a Lumber Company. Once there the owner was pleased and read the side of the work truck which we had also traded out in services for washing the sign company’s service trucks. The Lumber Company owner had us busy for two-days washing and waxing all his delivery trucks, forklifts, concrete and common area.

Below please find a letter that you can use and modify to fit your own business. Use this technique to alert local sign companies of your ability and willingness to work with them. Think about this and as always; Wash On !

Dear Signage Contractor,

We know you have a tough job maintaining signs for clients. Our pressure washing company’s industrial division specializes in cleaning signs. We would like to help you and make some money. We’re looking for a win/win situation. We work in two ways:

You give us a list of clients (contact names) of your customers who might be interested in monthly sign washing. In return we will wash your work trucks for free every other week. (Yes, tire dressing too!)

You set up accounts for maintenance of signs, do all the billing and we do the actual sign cleaning while you work on mechanical and emergency calls. We bill you monthly for our washing.

No matter which way you choose, if we work with you, we will only work exclusively with you in your area. No other signage companies. We will also contact many store owners directly to clean their signs. If these stores need new signs or mechanical repairs of old signs, we will refer this work to you.

Sounds good? We thought you would like it. There is a bonus. We already have accounts to clean wheel chairs at hospitals, real estate agents cars, truck fleets, shopping carts at COSTCO, concrete for local property managers, etc. In other words, we know everyone. By giving you leads for new possible clients we can help you. Information sharing, networking, strategic partnerships, whatever you want to call it, it works! We are in it to win it! If you want to join (company name here) “110% Team” call us. If not the dust is free and we’ll even give you a paper plate. (No plastic fork. You can make a taco.)

If you don’t do this, one of your competitors will. That I can personally guarantee.

Thank you in advance,

It’s Raining… Time to Go Fishing!

Ah, fishing in the rain. You may not like the rain, but the fish sure love it!

You may not believe it, but you may catch more fish while it is raining. There are a few good logical reasons for this.

First, when it rains, the worms come out… and naturally, many of those worms along with other bugs get washed into the water. The fish know this and react by feeding. The underwater world erupts into a feeding frenzy, especially if it hasn’t rained for a while.

Another reason is that oxygen levels rise from the rain hitting the water, which increases fish activity levels. There is so much oxygen in the water that it is easier for the fish to swim faster and longer without getting tired. When they see your nice tasty-looking lure, they’re much more likely to go after it.

If you’ve ever been up on a high mountain, you know how much faster you lose your breath and get tired… that’s because there’s less oxygen up at the higher altitudes… come back down to sea-level, and you have more energy and can breathe easier. When it rains, for the fish, it is like coming down to sea-level after living high in the mountains.

A third reason has to do with what the fish can see (or maybe I should say “what they can’t see”). Because of the clouds and all the ripples in the water, it is much more difficult for any fish to see you above the water. Believe it or not, under normal circumstances, fish can see you much better than you can ever see them. And when they do see you, more often than not, they’re going to be gone in a heartbeat.

No matter how crazy and stormy it is on top of the water, everything is just about as calm underneath the surface of the water as it is on a normal day. So even though they aren’t able to see out of the water as well, there is one thing that they can see just as well as any other time, and that’s your bait!

There are quite a few reason’s why fishing in the rain is probably better than fishing on a nice sunny day… and I am sure there are more reasons for this than what I have talked about. But the bottom line is that you’ll probably catch more fish when it’s raining… obviously, you might not catch as much, but experience has shown me that many times, fishing in the rain produces better results.

So, remember, next time you decide to go fishing and the weather reports call for rain, instead of canceling your trip, just smile, grab your rain gear, and get ready to have a great day of fishing… just remember, rain showers are fine, but don’t waste a second scampering off the lake if you see lightning or hear thunder… not only do you put your life in danger, but it will spook the fish enough that they won’t be feeding anymore anyways.

It may not be exactly fun fishing in the rain at first, but after you get used to it and start reeling in those fish, you’ll start liking it more and more.

Choosing Bike Equipment for Your First Ironman Triathlon

Without a doubt the bike-equipment you choose
can greatly influence the outcome of your first Ironman Triathlon.

However, don’t believe for a moment that the more expensive the bike, the easier and faster your bike split will be. The most important factor–and one that is often overlooked–is having the bike you choose sized just for you. Most bike outlets will supply this service. I just can’t stress how important this is. A proper fit means you will be getting full use of the proper muscle groups and will have a smooth, circular pedal stroke. Most importantly, it can make for a much more comfortable transition into the run.

Also, when you consider it, there’s not much point in spending thousands of dollars more for a bike because it is a pound or two lighter when you’re going to be packing five pounds of water and food on it for the race. For your first Ironman I would suggest a good reliable mid-priced bike. You can always upgrade if you choose to continue on with the sport in the following years.

Here’s something to think about. In 1984, on a brutally hot and windy day during the Kona Ironman, there were two cyclists under the 5 hour mark. Dave Scott was 5:11 and went on to run a 2:53 marathon and ultimately won the race. My point is, pretty well any mid-range priced bike you buy will be 10 times better than what these guys raced on that day. Think about it. Aerobars would have been HUGE that day. There was no such thing. Everyone had the old toe clips. The bikes were MUCH heavier. The tires were nowhere near as good as we can get now. There is just no comparison.

Ultimately your training and overall preparation—your athletic ability, and your courage are equally important ingredients to a successful Ironman bike ride.

Its about more than just the bike.

PROFILE BARS- I don’t believe they’ve invented an Ironman race yet that has no wind. Profile bars are a “must” to reduce wind resistance and conserve your energy for the upcoming marathon. If possible, try and have your shift levers mounted at the very front of your profile bars where your hands meet. That way you’re not sitting up or reaching down to shift gears. I have something called “swift shifters.” They are just perfect for the Ironman bike leg.

CYCLE COMPUTER-Some bike computers have way too many functions. All you need is cadence, speed, and an odometer to tell how far you’ve gone. That way you’re not forever pushing buttons to find the proper setting.

CLIPLESS PEDALS AND SHOES TO FIT-These were just a great invention. They are so easy to get in and out of and allow for a much smoother and more economical pedal stroke than the old clips we started out with. Its VERY important to have the tension set just right. You want to be able to get into them easily, yet not have your foot snap out at the worst possible time.(Like climbing a hill for instance). If you ski, its sort of the same idea as ski bindings. Just keep experimenting with it until you have to give your ankle a fairly quick, sharp twist for your shoe to come away from the pedal. That way you know its not set to loose. Also, make sure the bike has forward momentum when twisting out of the pedal. If you are almost stopped you could fall right over.

BOTTLE CAGES-Personally, I carry 4 water bottles. One inside the handlebars with a flexible plastic straw so I can drink without removing the bottle, one in the standard position on the frame, and a two bottle cage behind the seat. The water bottle on the frame and the two behind the seat were for my replacement drink…Gatorade etc. The bottle with the plastic straw was water. It has a top that snaps open, but stays attached and at aid stations I can just refill it with water if needed. When I wanted a replacement drink, I would take it from the bottle on the bike frame. When it was empty I would switch it with a full bottle from behind the seat. If I thought I would need more than three bottles of my replacement drink, I would leave one or two at the special needs station.

***If what you normally use for a replacement drink is being supplied on the race course, then you can do away with the two bottles behind your seat and just keep changing the bottle on the bike frame at the aid stations. Most of the time it was garorade or something else I didn’t use and I would just bring my own.

HELMET-You can’t race without one, so just find one that is comfortable, fits you well, and meets all safety standards. Remember, if its too loose, it will fall over your eyes when you lean forward into the profile position and that will drive you crazy. Also make sure it can be done up and undone easily.

SUNGLASSES-This is one piece of bike-equipment you MUST have for your Ironman training and racing. And I don’t really care if they cost $2.99 or $299. Just make sure you wear sunglasses to protect your eyes. Say you’re going downhill at 40 mph. And the bee coming towards you is travelling 25 mph. when he hits your unprotected eye. That could be REALLY, REALLY SERIOUS!! Always wear sunglasses and a helmet. Sun or not!! I found that yellow tinted sunglasses are excellent for overcast days.

I can think of at least 8 or 10 times over the years that something has hit my sunglasses hard enough to do lots of damage if I my eyes were unprotected.

Hopefully these few tips will help you in your bike equipment choices.

Hopefully my 20 years of triathlon experience can help you prepare for your first ironman triathlon.

Forget About “Talent”!

How is a writer to access her deepest and most powerful wells of creativity? How do we tap into our talent, our genius, our greatest potential for success? Writing classes often tell us how to plot, or structure, or build characters, or create poetic images, but the question of accessing our excellence is a slippery and elusive one. It is possible we’ll need to go outside our usual sources to find an answer.

Many will merely say “be born with talent,” coldly suggesting that writers are “born” with a particular amount of potential, and that one either has this or not. And you know? There is a certain amount of truth to this. It is hard to argue with the idea that geniuses like Mozart or Shakespeare were gifted. But the nature versus nurture argument is both fascinating and, for the average person, irrelevant. After all, since we can’t go back and choose our grandparents, what are we to do? Just abandon our dreams of excellence if we don’t happen to be one of the gifted few?

I often say something to students that is both deadly serious and a slight (and deliberate) exaggeration. It is this “I don’t believe in talent. Every time I’ve ever gotten close to an excellent performer in any discipline, all I’ve seen is a lifetime of hard, honest work.”

Why would I say something like this? Because it is the way I truly feel. The fact is that I’ve seen endless people fail due to lack of honest work. And given those years or decades of work, I’ve seen few fail for lack of talent.

The truth is that if “talent” exists, it seems to be the capacity for long, concentrated periods of tunnel-vision focus, combined with a unique capacity for digging into themselves to find truths most of us are reluctant to reveal. These phenomenal men and women sacrifice outside interests, relationships, and sometimes their health and sanity to focus on their divine obsession. And yes, if you find a group of these people, some will rise higher than others. But the primary gift of art is to be able to spend your life in the act of creation. And to do that, you don’t need to be “the best” (whatever THAT means). All you need to do is to get into the top twenty percent in your field, and you’ll do just fine.

And that is achievable with focus and honesty. But what exactly do I mean by that?

FOCUS

1) Can you write 500 words a day for twenty years?

2) Can you concentrate for an hour at a time without stopping for coffee, phone calls, or bathroom breaks?

3) Can you shut out the voices of doubt and failure? Then you have a chance. In my own life, writing was simply my only career goal. I would rather have failed as a writer than succeeded at anything else. I was willing to do ANYTHING ethical and healthy to reach that goal, and every single day I asked myself new questions about how I could do it, who I could ask, what I could read, what classes I might attend. Willingness to postpone gratification is essential, because your efforts simply won’t pay off rapidly unless you are in that incredibly lucky fraction of a percent. And there is good news: even if you believe in “talent,” in the real world, an absolutely driven “B” or “C” student will outperform a lazy “A” student almost every time.

HONESTY. This is where the rubber meets the road, the diamond path to excellence.

1) What is your actual current skill level? What is the skill level necessary to make it in your chosen field? Make no mistake: writing is one of the most competitive fields in the world. EVERYONE thinks they can write, and to a degree, they are correct. If you’re going to make your mark, you will have to bring everything you’ve got.

2) Who has the resources you need to bridge the gap between your current and desired skill levels? Remember that they have probably spent a lifetime gathering their knowledge. What can you offer them (that is ethical and healthy for you) to gain their help and support?

3) What do you fear most? Love most? What angers you most? Makes you laugh? Your ability to create memorable characters will be based on the depths of your self-understanding, and capacity to accurately observe the human condition. If you can dig deeply enough, you’ll find an incredible wealth of subject matter, more than enough to last a lifetime. But you must be honest. When writing to stimulate an emotion in your audience, first write to trigger that feeling in yourself. Write for yourself, or for an audience you respect.

4) What is your best effort? There is a great scene in “Walk The Line” where a music producer tells Johnny Cash to imagine he is dying in the street. He has one last song to sing to sum up the totality of his existence. What would that song be? Questions like this cut through the b.s. Don’t try to be clever. Just tell the truth.

5) What do you actually believe human beings are? At the core of us, under all of the ugly and pretty. What are we? How do you explain the differences and conflicts between human beings: black and white, gay and straight, male and female. What do you think love is? What causes war? Why do we dream? Your own unique answers to these questions will point you toward your personal “voice.”

6) What is the nature of the universe? Of God? Is there anything out there? Are we alone? While it is possible to write stories and screenplays from a variety of philosophical positions, the writer who knows herself and has a position on the nature of life will outperform a “brilliant” writer who has nothing to say. Dig deep.

These two aspects, (1) hard work, and (2) honesty, will keep you busy for a lifetime, and take you to the very edge of your potential as a writer. And after all, if you haven’t used up all the potential you were given at birth, it hardly makes sense to complain that you didn’t get more!

Be Amazed By the Magnificent Windsor Castle

Windsor Castle is understood to be the largest occupied castles on the planet & the eldest in nonstop inhabitation (more than 900 years). It is 1 of Queen Elizabeth’s three main residences, & is tine and time again thought to be the Queens most adored home. The Royal colours soars over the Round Tower of Windsor Castle on every occasion Queen Elizabeth is in palace - whereas, at other times, the Union Jack banner flutters instead.

Samuel Pepys once announced Windsor Castle to be “the solitary most passionate castle around.” That was in 1666, and the comparable is true today.

Windsor Castle Electrifying History:

The foundation of Windsor can be found in the early seventh century Saxon settlement of Windlesora, where the contemporary day community of Old Windsor is sited. The settlement of Windsor is correctly identified as “New Windsor” - the word “new” being referenced in a strictly relative way!

Windsor Castle was formally built by the eminent William the Conqueror, owing to his attack of England in 1066. The original building was put together from wood with ground ramparts. Windsor Castle held a noticeable strategic position on a steep mound above the River Thames, & was a fraction of a ring of castles around the City, with the Tower of London, one day’s journey away, at its middle.

The Castle was later on remade in stone, & increased in significance over the subsequent years. In recent times Henry II redesigned the Round Tower & the original stone outer wall. Following the English Civil War, the Castle’s chief role became that of a royal home. Windsor Castle has stayed significantly untouched since the beginning of the 19th century, apart from the reconstruction effort straight after the dreadful fire in 1992.
