The Retro Watches Series of Longines
Since its founding in 1832, Longines watches have always been dedicated to the traditional watch making business. It has never stopped looking for precision and elegance for its watches. Over years, Longines has played an important role in both the pocket watches and the wristwatches manufacturing history. It is under the brand’s precious historic thought for inheriting the past that Longines launched the retro watches series.
And these retro replica watches were awarded as the representatives of aesthetic watches, representing the classic and essence in the watch manufacturing industry. Before the 19 century, most retro watches of Longines are the pocket watches design. The retro watches that Longines is launching nowadays are mostly of wristwatches designs.
Each retro watch series bears a meaning. For example, the Présence lays its emphasis in showcasing the classical style of wristwatches, connecting watches with people’s good old days. While the Silver Arrow retro series and Flagship retro series pay more attention to celebrating the golden days of traditional mechanic watches. Most of those watches have turned into the stylish paragons among the dazzling watch brands in the market. The classic retro watch L1.647.4.72.2 is a good example of Longines’ retro watches, simple, classic, and retro. Featuring a classic round shape, the watch case of L1.647.4.72.2 is made of classic refined stainless steel. The dial is concise, showing the hour, minute and second pointers all in one dial, with all strips as its markings. The date showcase is at 3. Allocating with a black leather strap, the whole timepiece is functional, concise and tidy.
Many repro watches follow the virtues of this watch. Combining classic and fashion, Longines retro watches series bring to the watch manufacturing business the beauty of classic and this beauty, I believe, will carry on in the watch business. Ling Wu, a watch fan and fashionista, shares with you one of my favorites Longines watches collection.
